Request Money – A convenient way to request money
Interac e-Transfer Request Money helps make it easy for people to pay you. Recipients are notified of your request through email or text message, and they can pay you through their own participating Canadian financial institution2 using Interac e-Transfer. If the recipient accepts your request, you're notified once the money is deposited directly into the TD bank account you choose4.
Use Request Money as a reminder for a friend to pay you back, or include an invoice number as a convenient way for customers to pay you!
Interac e-Transfer Fees
There is no transfer fee to use either Send Money or Request Money with the following accounts:
Personal Accounts:
- TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan
- TD Unlimited Chequing Account
- TD Every Day Chequing Account4
- TD Student Chequing Account4
Business Accounts:

There are transfer fees to use either Send Money or Request Money with all other accounts:
Personal Accounts:
- Up to and including $100 : $0.504
- Over $100: $1.004
Business Accounts:
- $1.504
- Subject to Additional Remittance Details Fee ($0.50 )
The Send Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account from which the money is sent at the time it is sent.4
The Request Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account into which the money is deposited at the time of deposit, if the recipient accepts the request4. There is no transfer fee to accept a request4.

3 You must first set up your recipient using EasyWeb or the latest version of the TD app. The TD app is free to download, however standard wireless carrier message and data rates may apply.
4 Transaction fees may also apply when you send money from a personal account or a business account or when you request money and receive it into a business account. 5 Check with your landlord first regarding acceptance of rent payments using Interac e-Transfer.
6 Once Autodeposit has been set up for the email address you entered, when someone uses Interac e-Transfer to send money using that email address, the money will be automatically deposited to the chosen account, if the sender sent the money from a financial institution that supports Autodeposit; and the sender does not otherwise require you to answer a security question.
