How to get your credit report

It’s a good idea to check your credit report once a year.

You have the right to access your credit report free of charge. To do so, you must send your request by mail, and include a copy of two pieces of ID. This can take some time, and your credit report will not include your credit score.

You can also obtain your credit report plus your credit score sooner by paying a small fee. Visit the Equifax Canada or TransUnion Canada website to order your copy online.
