Before you start the application

Here are some things you will need in order to fill in the application:
  • An account number set up in the business' name for deposits
  • Total annual sales for the business
  • For partnerships, we require both signatures, unless one owner has more than a 50% ownership
  • Personal identification such as a valid driver's license, passport or major credit card

After you apply by fax

A TD Merchant Solutions Sales Specialist will review your application and contact you to complete the application process. When contacted, they will advise you if your application has been approved. If approved, we will:
  • Provide your Visa, MasterCard and Interac Direct Payment transaction rates
  • Discuss your point-of-sale terminal requirements and make a recommendation on the solution that meets your needs
  • Gather any additional information if required
  • Confirm the approximate time when your point-of-sale terminals can be installed and ready for use
  • Answer any questions you may have including questions about the Merchant Solutions Agreement
