Learning Through the Arts
TD Bank is proud to be the National Corporate Sponsor of Learning Through the Arts 2000 (LTTA 2000), a project of the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Learning Through the Arts is a unique public school program that was developed by the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1995 and piloted in Toronto from 1995 to 1999. It is a classroom-based program in which children, through music, speech arts, movement and visual arts activities, improve their capacity to learn all aspects of the school curriculum. Learning Through the Arts trains teachers to incorporate role playing, rhythm and visual arts into the day-to-day teaching of core subjects. The result is a more flexible approach and hands-on experience that engages children in learning.

The Learning Through the Arts 2000 is the first curriculum-based arts program in the world to be implemented nation-wide. LTTA 2000 offers certification training linked to actual field experience, for artists to work as facilitators in the public school system. The communities chosen for sites are Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Toronto, Windsor, Cape Breton, and Corner Brook.
