TD Donations Program

How to submit your request

    To ensure the donations we make are directly responsive to local communities, decisions on many of our donations are made at the regional or branch level.

    If you would like to submit a request, please review these general guidelines to determine whether your application for funding is eligible for consideration:

    • organizations must be Canadian, using the funds in Canada
    • organizations must be non-profit with registered charitable status with Revenue Canada
    • organizations must provide a charitable tax-registered receipt for the full amount of donation

    NOTE: TD provides substantial support to United Way organizations across Canada. For this reason, we do not provide duplicate support to organizations that are United Way/Centraide member agencies.

Requests for funding should include:

    • the name, address, telephone number, fax number and key contact of the organization
    • a list of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board members (if applicable)
    • the most recent audited financial statements of the organization
    • the nature of the current campaign/appeal for which you are requesting funding
    • the overall campaign funding objectives and where these funds are expected to come from (i.e.: breakdown between public and private sector, funds coming from matching campaigns)
    • the specific amount requested from TD Bank
    • a description of how the funds will be used
    • an indication of whether the organization is a member agency of United Way/Centraide
    • the organization's registered charitable tax number
