| Applications for TD Canada Trust DISA RSP and TD Canada Trust GIC RSP accounts will be accepted for 2007 contributions up until midnight EST on Febuary 29, 2008. Self-Directed RSPs with TD Waterhouse Discount Brokerage can take as little as 24 hours to establish while TD Mutual Funds RSPs take 5 to 10 business days, depending on the mail.
If it is near the last week of February, we recommend that you establish a TD Canada Trust DISA RSP to ensure that your contribution is processed before the deadline. You can then apply online for your TD Mutual Funds RSP or TD Waterhouse Self-Directed RSP and then transfer the funds once the account is established.
