- With your merchant plate affixed to the
imprinter, take a manual imprint of the card.
- Record the following information on the
manual sales draft:
- Customer signature
- Date
- Authorization number
- Amount of the transaction
- Manually enter the transaction information
into the terminal
Cannot insert a chip card- Terminal display will read “Card
Error Please Try Again.”
- If you are unsuccessful after three
attempts, the terminal will read “Card Error Use Mag
Stripe.”
- Swipe the card to proceed with the
transaction.
- If unable to swipe the card, follow the
steps above under “Cannot swipe a magnetic stripe
card.”
