TD Canada Trust RSP

Apply Now

The TD Canada Trust RSP gives you the flexibility to make deposits of any amount, at any time, subject to your contributions limit.

Contributions to your TD Canada Trust RSP can be made to either the Daily Interest Savings Account (DISA), or to a GIC. (Both of these options exist within the same plan.) Generally, contributions are made to the DISA when the amount contributed is less than the $500 minimum required to purchase a GIC.

You can take advantage of the benefits of regularly contributing smaller amounts to your DISA throughout the year with our Pre-Authorized Transfer Service (PTS). Whenever you have $500 or more in your DISA, it can be invested in a GIC.

DISA Option

You should consider the DISA option if:

  • You don't want to lock your funds into a fixed rate or make a term commitment.
  • You want to deposit less than the minimum required for TD Canada Trust GICs.

GIC Options

Short-Term GICs
Within your RSP, the minimum short-term GIC investment is $2,000.00 and you can choose a term from 90 to 364 days. Interest is paid at maturity

Long-Term GICs
For terms of between 1 and 5 years, the minimum investment required is only $500.00 within your RSP

Special GICs
Several unique GICs offer added features, such as escalating rates and early cashability

Market Growth GICs
