TD Mutual Funds
Our Accounts: Transfer Tips
RSP Transfers To help make this process easier for you, we have made two transfer forms available for download. They are the a T2033 transfer form, which is a standard industry form used to transfer a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) from one financial institution to another, and a TD Canada Trust Internal RSP transfer form, used for transferring RSP assets from one part of the TD Canada Trust to another. Here are some tips to help you use these forms:
Transfers across financial institutions can often take up to a month or more, especially during the busy RSP season. Internal transfers may sometimes take one to two weeks. To get the quickest turn-around time, do your transfers between April and December to avoid the RSP rush. Some financial institutions may charge a fee to transfer your assets. It is important to verify this prior to initiating a transfer. Non-Registered Account (Non-RSP) Transfers To transfer TD Mutual Funds from another financial institution to a Mutual Fund Account, visit your local TD Canada Trust Branch or call your Investment Centre for assistance. Some financial institutions may charge a fee to transfer your assets. It is important to verify this prior to initiating a transfer. If you have any questions about the status of a transfer in progress, please call your Investment Centre for an update.
