Term Deposits

With our suite of Term Deposits, you can benefit from both a guaranteed rate and the flexibility to withdraw all or part of your investment prior to maturity at a reduced rate. Term Deposits are well-suited to short-term savings goals such as a car purchase but also allow for long-term savings with access to your funds if needed. Please note that Term Deposits are not offered within an RSP, RESP or RIF.

  Term Minimum Investment Interest Payment Options
Short-Term
  Non-registered and Registered (TFSA) 30 to 364 days $5,000 For terms less than 90 days: Paid at maturity

For terms 90 days or greater: Paid monthly & at maturity
    Cashability:
  • After 30 days in full or part. Interest paid at prescribed early cashing rate on redemption.
  • Minimum withdrawal is $1,000 while maintaining at least the minimum investment balance.
Long-Term
  Non-registered and Registered (TFSA) 1 to 5 years
(long-term)		 $1,000 Paid semi-annually and at maturity
    Cashability:
  • After 30 days in full or part. Interest paid at prescribed early cashing rate on redemption.
  • Minimum withdrawal is $1,000 while maintaining at least the minimum investment balance.
