Country Sanctions and Financial Transactions on your Card


Your card can be used all over the world except in certain countries where there are economic and trade sanctions.

Effective immediately TD Canada Trust Credit Cards cannot be used to process transactions from:

Canadian Dollar Credit Cards:

  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Syria

US Dollar Credit Cards:
  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • North Korea
  • Sudan
  • Syria


TD is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where TD operates.

Note: You should be aware that under U.S. Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) regulations, customers who are U.S. citizens are subject to rules that limit the use of their cards in certain jurisdictions sanctioned by OFAC, and that similar regulations may exist in other jurisdictions applicable to their citizens.
