About the Aeroplan Program
Yes, you will keep earning Aeroplan Miles on your purchases made with your card just as you do today.
The Aeroplan Miles you’ve already accumulated are not impacted by any change to your credit card! Your Aeroplan Miles remain in your Aeroplan account and you can redeem them just as you always have, subject to the Aeroplan Terms & Conditions.
There are no changes to the Aeroplan Program as a result of the acquisition and the current Aeroplan Terms and Conditions remain in effect for your card. You will, however, benefit as a cardholder from exciting new enhancements to the Aeroplan Program that went into effect on January 1, 2014. All Aeroplan members now enjoy improvements to the program and some can qualify for Aeroplan’s new recognition program – Distinction™. Improvements include better flight rewards value on Air Canada flights. ClassicPlus Flight® Rewards have been replaced by Market Fare Flight Rewards, which offer reduced mileage levels. And you can keep accumulating miles knowing your miles will not expire, as long as you remain active in the program.
Distinction recognizes Aeroplan’s top-accumulating members with even more benefits. Members receive exclusive flight rewards benefits – up to 35% fewer miles required for some flights! Distinction also offers bonus miles flight offers, preferential treatment and privileges.
