Business Boosters

We’re here when you need us

The TD Canada Trust Merchant Services Help Desk is always on call

It’s Saturday morning and your first customers are just starting to enter your store. Suddenly, you spill coffee on your electronic point-of-sale (POS) terminal. Now it won’t even turn on, never mind processing credit cards and debit cards. What do you do?

Call the TD Canada Trust Merchant Services Help Desk at 1-800-363-1163. Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We can provide same-day on-site service in most major centres except Christmas Day. Service is available until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays if the call is placed before 4:00 p.m., and until 6:00 p.m. on weekends if the call is placed before 2:00 p.m. The repair agent will try to fix your terminal. If that isn’t possible, a replacement terminal will be provided immediately at no charge.

In addition to round-the-clock support from the Help Desk, your service agreement includes the following:

  • Monthly statements for Visa and Interac Direct Payment transactions
  • An authorization centre that’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Manual Visa sales drafts are available to you at no cost (you can order them through TD Canada Trust Merchant Services), and
  • Information on preferred suppliers of paper for TD Canada Trust POS terminals:
    • J.L. Inc.,
      1-800-363-4873
    • Main-Tech Industries,
      1-800-268-5120
    • Maxwell Media Products,
      Eastern Canada: 1-800-561-6406
      Western Canada: 1-800-461-3297
    • Wedge Paper Products,
      1-888-933-4336

Post the Merchant Services Help Desk number in a prominent place, and make sure all your employees know that they can call for assistance with their POS terminal, or to obtain authorizations, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They simply need to know your merchant number to ask for assistance; your merchant number can be found on the top right-hand side of your statement.
