The “TD Canada Trust Longer Hours Contest” (the “Contest”) is offered at all
TD Canada Trust branches (the “Branch”). Contest ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern
Time on July 27, 2008.
To enter, obtain an official entry form, complete and deposit it in the entry box at the
Branch. Limit of one entry per person per week to a total contest maximum of six
(6) entries. No purchase is necessary.
This Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are of the age of
majority in their Province/Territory of residence at the time of entry into the
Contest. Employees, agents and representatives of The Toronto-Dominion Bank
or its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively “TD Bank Financial Group”), or of
its advertising and promotion agencies or their subsidiaries and affiliates, are
not eligible to win, nor is any person with whom any such employee, agent or
representative is domiciled.
One (1) random draw will take place from all eligible entries at each Branch on
the following dates: June 23, 2008; June 30, 2008; July 7, 2008; July 14, 2008;
July 21, 2008; and July 28, 2008. The odds of winning in each draw will vary
according to the number of entries received at that Branch. Unselected entries for
each week will NOT be folded into nor included in any subsequent weekly Draws.
Each Branch will award six (6) prizes, at a rate of one (1) per week, as follows:
the draw on June 23, 2008 will be for one (1) portable DVD player (approximate
retail value of CDN$100);
the draw on June 30, 2008 will be for one (1) retail gift certificate (approximate
retail value of CDN$250);
the draw on July 7, 2008 will be for one (1) digital photo frame (approximate
retail value of CDN$100);
the draw on July 14, 2008 will be for one (1) digital camera (approximate retail
value of CDN$250);
the draw on July 21, 2008 will be for one (1) digital camcorder (approximate
retail value of CDN$250); and,
the draw on July 28, 2008 will be for one (1) video game console and (1) video
game (approximate retail value of CDN$486).
The total approximate retail value of the six (6) weekly Prizes to be given away at
each Branch is One Thousand, Four Hundred and Thirty-Six ($1,436.00 CDN) per
Each selected entrant will be contacted by telephone. Attempts will be made to
contact each selected entrant at the telephone number on the ballot during regular
branch business hours for a period of ten (10) working days. If a selected entrant
cannot be contacted within the allotted time, he/she is no longer eligible to win
and another entrant will be drawn and the process of contacting the new selected
entrant will be repeated. In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must
correctly answer a skill-testing mathematical question at a pre-arranged time within
ten (10) business days of notification, without mechanical or other assistance. The
selected entrant will be required to sign and return, within ten (10) days of their
receipt of same, a declaration and release form, releasing TD Canada Trust, its
advertising and promotional agencies from any liability resulting from the awarding
of the Prize, confirming acceptance of the Prize as awarded, and giving permission to
TD Canada Trust and its agencies to use the winner’s name and photograph without
further compensation in any upcoming publicity. If a selected entrant fails to sign
and return the release form within ten (10) days, TD Canada Trust reserves the right
to void that entry and select another eligible entrant for the Prize.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitution, transfer or conversion
will be allowed, unless at the discretion of TD Canada Trust which may substitute
a prize of comparable or greater value. All entries become the property of
TD Canada Trust, and will not be returned. TD Canada Trust assumes no
responsibility for lost, invalid, delayed or misdirected entries.
By entering, entrants agree to abide by the Contest Rules and the decisions of
TD Canada Trust, which are final.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
Neither TD Canada Trust nor its representatives shall in any way bear any liability
whatsoever regarding the Prize.
For residents of all other Provinces/Territories outside Quebec, any litigation must be
commenced in the City of Toronto, Ontario.
For residents of Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a
publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux
for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of prize may be submitted to the
Régie only for the purpose of helping parties reach a settlement.
The winner(s) of the Prize(s) may pick up their Prize during regular Branch
By entering this Contest, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of
information about you by TD Canada Trust for the purposes of administering this
Contest, and for the discussion and/or promotion of financial services.
Entries that are mechanically reproduced, copied, illegible, incomplete, or inaccurate are void.
Entrants release and hold harmless TD Bank Financial group, its advertising or promotion agencies and their employees, officers, directors, and shareholders (“Releases”) from any and all claims, actions, injuries, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury or death, resulting from or participating in this Contest or from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of any prize awarded or participation in any prize related activity.
