Choose the account that's right for you
TD Future Builder offers a number of account options that are designed to meet your financial goals. You may choose just one account or a combination of accounts. Your plan administrator can tell you the options available under your company's plan.
- Group Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) Account
One of the easiest ways to start saving for retirement is a TD Future Builder Group RSP Account.
- Contributions are tax-deductible in the year for which they are made
- Earnings grow tax-deferred until withdrawn
- RSP savings can be easily converted into a retirement income stream
- Spousal (RSP) Account
In a spousal RSP, one spouse contributes to a plan in the other spouse's name. The contributor receives the tax deduction, while the spouse owns the investments in the plan. Spousal RSPs can be financially beneficial when:
- One spouse has an income and the other doesn't
- One spouse earns considerably more than the other
- One spouse has an adequate pension plan and the other doesn't
Ask our Mutual Funds Representative for more details regarding a spousal RSP account.
- Non-registered Account
If you are saving for a goal other than retirement - a vacation, a car or to build your emergency fund, we recommend a non-registered account. You can choose from a full range of mutual fund investments to keep your money easily accessible.
