Browser Information
I have never downloaded a browser or software from the Internet.
We recommend you print these pages before proceeding and keep the instructions handy as you go through the process of downloading.
Step 1 – What do you need?
To use EasyWeb your computer must have certain minimum requirements. These are as follows:
  • 128-bit Web Browser such as Netscape Navigator 7.02 and above OR Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above.
A browser with 128-bit encryption is a key part of these requirements. Many of our clients already have 128-bit encryption which comes as part of the software bundled with their computer or was provided by their Internet Service Provider…some customers do not.
Step 2 – Why do you need 128-bit encryption?
Encryption is the process of converting data into a more secure format for transmission. This means that data is converted to a scrambled code while being transmitted, and then decrypted back to the previous format at the receiving end of the transmission.
The 128-bit browser offers the highest level of encryption generally available today and provides the best protection when transmitting confidential data over the Internet. This means that you can do your banking and financial transactions over the Internet and be assured of the privacy of your account information and transactions.
Step 3 – How do I know if my browser already has 128-bit encryption?
There are several ways to check if your browser has 128-bit encryption. A simple way is to check if you can access one of TD Canada Trust's secure login pages. If you get the page below, then you DO NOT have a 128-bit browser. The 128-bit browser can be downloaded from the Internet for FREE.

Do not have 128-bit encryption

If you got the EasyWeb login page, below, then you DO HAVE a 128-bit encrypted browser and may log in directly to any of the web services.

Have 128-bit encryption

Please note the file with 128-bit encryption that needs to be downloaded for Microsoft's Internet Explorer is quite small (approximately .2 Megabytes) as it is an add on to the current browser. The file for Netscape in comparison, is quite large, as a whole new browser needs to be downloaded (approximately 15 Megabytes). The net result is download times for the Netscape files are generally longer.
Step 4 – I don't have 128-bit encryption. How do I get it?
If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer, click here.
If you have Netscape Navigator, click here.
Please note that The TD Bank Financial Group only supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and above or Netscape Navigator 4.08 and above.
