Cache

A cache is a system for storing frequently accessed information for faster response. It stores the pages, graphics, sounds, and URLs of online places you visit on your hard drive; that way, when you go back to the page, everything doesn't have to be downloaded all over again. This cuts down the retrieval time and helps minimize Internet traffic, however, it also means you might not be looking at the latest version of the page. When you clear the cache, the browser is forced to get the page from the web rather than your hard drive. Failure to clear your cache may result in not being able to view updated items within EasyWeb. If you share your computer in any way, you may want to clear your web browser cache when you finish browsing.
