How do I decline an Interac Email Money Transfer?
There are a few ways you can decline an Interac Email Money Transfer. You can simply contact the sender and let him/her know you do not wish to collect the money. The sender can 'Cancel' the Interac Email Money Transfer. Or, you can decline the Interac Email Money Transfer using EasyWeb.
To decline the transfer using EasyWeb, follow the instructions provided in the email notification. After successfully logging into EasyWeb, you will arrive immediately at the 'Receive Money' page. Enter the correct answer to the Security Question, and the next page will offer the option to decline the money. Click the 'Decline' button.
To decline the money, follow these three steps:
| Step 1 of 3: | If you wish, enter a reason for declining the Interac Email Money Transfer. This reason will be included in the email notification returned to the sender. Since Internet email is not secure, please do not include any confidential information. |
| Step 2 of 3: | Review and confirm the information you have entered. |
| Step 3 of 3: | Your Interac Email Money Transfer has been declined. An email notification will be sent to the sender advising him/her of your decline, and instructions to deposit the money back into his/her account. |
