All types of mutual fund accounts presently offered by TD Investment Services Inc. are offered through the TD eFunds program. Therefore, accounts may be registered (Spousal, Personal or Locked-in), non-registered (Single or Joint), or RESP. For RESP accounts, you must first have an existing TD Mutual Funds account, and then convert it to a TD eFunds account, using a "downloadable" Adobe Acrobat Form.
- Registered
A Registered Account will include investments that are registered under a government pension program. A registered savings plan is structured to hold certain investments such as bonds, mutual funds and other investment assets that are earmarked for retirement. Select this account if you are investing in your RRSP.
- Non-Registered
A Non-Registered account will include investments that are not registered under a government pension program. These can include holdings in cash, bonds, mutual funds and other investment assets. Select this account type for investments held outside an RRSP.
