Modify Payee Descriptions

EasyWeb allows you to provide your own 25-character description for your Payees (including Personal Payees) to make your Payee List more meaningful and easier to use. For example, if you have 2 accounts with Bell Canada, one for home and one for your business, you can now add a description to each account to reflect that.

Follow the instructions below to add a description to your payees:

  1. Select My Accounts > Payments & Transfers from the top navigation menu.
  2. Select Set Payee Descriptions from the left sub-menu. Your current Payee List will display.
  3. Enter a description in the box to the right of each Payee. Special characters such as #, %, *, ”, @, cannot be used when modifying the description of a payee.
  4. When you are done, click Save Settings.
  5. A confirmation message will display informing you that your preferences have been saved.
