Renaming your accounts

EasyWeb lets you rename your TD Canada Trust accounts in ‘My Accounts > View Accounts’ to provide greater meaning and ease of use. For example, you can rename your chequing account, which you may only use for paying your mortgage to "Mortgage Account," or your savings account, which you might use for vacation savings can be renamed "Vacation Account."

Instructions on how to rename your TD Canada Trust Accounts in EasyWeb:

1. Select My Accounts > View Accounts from the top menu.
2. Select Rename Accounts from the left sub menu.
3. A screen will display all the accounts listed in ‘My Accounts > View Accounts’ page.  Beside each account, a blank box will appear, asking you to rename the account (maximum of 50 characters).
4. Enter the desired name beside the corresponding account name and number and click on Save Settings.
5. Your request to rename your accounts will then be confirmed.

Note: special characters such as %, #, *, ', @ currently cannot be used when renaming your accounts (i.e. "John's account" would have to be entered as "Johns account.")
