How to Setup a Personal Payee

The Personal Payee feature allows for the transfer of funds from your account to another TD Canada Trust customer. A good example of a Personal Payee would be when a parent wants to transfer money to their child at College or University. You can set up as many Personal Payees as you need to allow for transferring money to several different TD Canada Trust customers.

Each Personal Payee must be set up on your Payee List by a TD Canada Trust banking specialist. To setup a Personal Payee:

Gather the following Payee Information:
- The full name of the person you want to send the money to
- Branch number (3 or 4 digits)
- Account number (7 digits)
- An Alias to use as a description for this Payee. The alias must be 1-5 alphanumeric characters with the first character being alphabetic. For example: "Mom" or "Son2".
Call EasyLine at 1-866-222-3456 and enter your 13-digit Access Card number and your PhoneCode.
Select option '1', then '4'.You will be connected to an EasyLine Specialist who will confirm and register your Personal Payee.

To make changes to an existing Personal Payee, contact TD Canada Trust at 1-866-222-3456 as outlined in steps 2 and 3 above.

To Delete a Personal Payee, select Payments & Transfers from the top menu. Select Modify Payees from the left sub-menu, then click Delete next to the Personal Payee you wish to delete from your Payee List. Before deleting a Personal Payee from your Payee List, please delete any pending payments or recurring payments to this payee.
